On April 26, 2022, we held an event for the Toronto social sector to learn about the BYSY project and how their agencies can benefit from participating. During the event, we had a panel of three individuals who shared their lived experience of having their social demographic data collected, the ways it has impacted them, and thoughts they had to share around the challenges in demographic data collection as it stands today. We also had a presentation from two staff from the Children and Youth Planning Table of Waterloo Region who shared their experience in developing and implementing a survey for youth in the region, and ways in which they incentivized participation and continue to work with youth to make sense of the data collected from them. We are providing the recordings from the event as learning enrichment for the cohorts, as the information and insights shared we feel were quite valuable.
